How Does Sclerotherapy Work?
Sclerotherapy is a fairly simple and quick procedure. A saline solution is injected directly into the varicose or spider veins using a very thin needle. The solution essentially irritates the vein, causing it to swell and coagulate, leaving behind scar tissue that is gradually reabsorbed into the body.
