How Does Vbeam Work?
Vbeam is a non-ablative, pulsed dye laser that penetrates the skin in pulses as a dye is used to achieve different colors of laser beams, depending on the skin condition being treated. The Vbeam also leaves the top layers of the skin alone, while treating deeper levels of the skin where pigmentation and problem issues reside. Since the top layers of skin are not cut or burnt, the treatment has little to no side effects and does not require lengthy recovery time like previous traditional cosmetic dermatology treatments.
Additionally, the Vbeam uses a Dynamic Cooling Device that cools the skin to not only make the treatment comfortable, but also to protect the superficial layers of the skin at the surface. Most patients describe a Vbeam session as feeling like the sharp sensation of a rubber band snapping against the skin, however, the side effect is usually just a mild redness or swelling at the treatment area that generally disappears in a few hours to a few days.
