How Does Isolaz Clear Acne?
Isolaz is a unique treatment that combines a medical broadband light with a vacuum to physical remove dead skin cells, impacted sebum, and oil while the light kills the bacteria that thrive on the oil and debris within the pores. By eliminating the bacteria that causes acne, inflammation and lesions can heal within the following 24 to 48 hours and prevents them from returning. Most patients require a series of treatments to clear away debris and impacted sebum from the deeper layers of the skin.
Does Isolaz Cause Side Effects?
Fortunately, most patients only experience a slight redness to the skin for a few hours following a treatment. Some may even experience a recurrence of acne after the first session because underlying debris may be pulled closer to the surface of the skin. However, with multiple treatments spaced out over four to six weeks, patients see dramatically improved results.
Will Isolaz Treat All Types of Acne?
Isolaz is the most effective on mild to moderate acne and enlarged or clogged pores located on the face, back, chest, and arms, such as blackheads, pimples, inflammatory acne, and pustular acne. Severe acne, including high-inflammation and cystic acne may require more aggressive treatments, such as prescription medications, in order to achieve the best possible outcome. The experienced dermatologists at Ava MD can examine your skin to determine whether Isolaz is the best option.
In order to preserve the effects of Isolaz, it is suggested that patients continue to maintain a thorough skin care regimen, including a health diet, not smoking, cleansing the skin regularly, and moisturizing with lotions that do not clog the pores.
