What Does Active/Deep FX Treat?
Both laser treatments can be used to target a variety of problem areas, such as:
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Hollow and creases
- Acne scars
- Smile lines
- Crow’s feet
- Sagging skin
- Brown spots
Unlike traditional laser dermatology, Active/Deep FX require very little downtime as both treat only a fractional level of the skin, which heals quickly and promotes collagen growth for better results. Patients enjoy tighter, smoother skin with softened lines and reduced scarring and discoloration.
The procedure can be completed in a short amount of time following the application of a topical anesthetic ointment to reduce discomfort. The lasers generally cause a warm sensation that may be similar to a sun burn. In two days following treatment, patients can expect some skin flaking and pinkness, both of which will disappear after a week.
What’s the Difference?
Active FX and Deep FX are both administered using a Bridge Therapy technique, in which the lasers penetrate the skin in a dotted pattern to create “bridges” of untreated skin, allowing the skin to regenerate and heal much more efficiently. However, Active FX is used to target the surface layers of skin in a wider area than Deep FX, which can penetrate to deeper levels of the dermis to treat deeper wrinkles in more specific areas.
Both laser treatments can be administered in one session for comprehensive results that are safe and natural. As the dotted bridge pattern heals, the skin produces collagen to create a natural, supple appearance over a period of months. Patients see dramatic results right away as both treatments tighten the skin, however, Deep FX produces more pronounced skin tightening.
Additionally, Active FX and Deep FX deliver long lasting results that may be improved with a healthy skin care regimen, such as proper UV protection, daily moisturizing, and thorough cleansing. In some cases, patients can enjoy the full results of an Active FX or Deep FX treatment for years.
